Funding for People with a Disability

See Change Supported Accommodation not only accepts NDIS, TAC, & DHHS funded people but also welcomes those who are privately funded.

About the Department of Health & Human Services and Individual Support Packages

Individual Support Packages (ISP) are offered by the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) to eligible people. The ISP are payments made by DHHS that allow the eligible person to be able to make decisions about the way they choose to live their life. The ISP can be used to facilitate or maintain your independence, learn new skills or for community participation.

About the National Disability Insurance Scheme

The NDIS: Who Are They and What Does It Mean For Me?

The NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme was introduced to ensure that people with disabilities, families and carers are supported to achieve their needs, goals and aspirations. The NDIS has taken a new approach to disability service provision, giving people with disabilities the control over the services they require over the person’s lifespan. The person with a disability in collaboration with the NDIS caseworkers will develop an individualised plan that addresses the person’s needs and goals.


When Can I Access the NDIS?

The NDIS has launched in the Barwon region and caters for people with disabilities aged under 65 d who live in the City of Greater Geelong, Colac, Otway Shire, Burough of Queenscliff and Surf Coast Shire. The NDIS will be rolled out to all Victorians from July 2016 and all eligible people with disabilities will be covered by the scheme by July 2019.

About the Transport Accident Commission

The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is a Victorian State government organisation that provides support to people who have been injured through road trauma. If you have been injured as a result of a road accident, as a driver, pedestrian, passenger, motorcyclists and in some circumstances cyclists. The TAC will support people who have been injured during their recovery. The TAC will support eligible people in their medical and rehabilitation treatment, in some instances income assistance, travel and other related expenses, and lump sum compensation payouts.

If you have received an injury as the result of road trauma you may be eligible for funding from the TAC. This funding may be used to purchase the services of See Change Supported Accommodation.
